Job Description

Beacon Pointe is currently seeking an exceptional individual to join our wealth management team as the lead for Operations in our Los Angeles office. This individual will work directly in coordination with Senior Wealth Advisors, our Central Operations team and a talented team of wealth management professionals dedicated to servicing sophisticated, high net worth individuals and families. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record of operational experience; with a commitment and passion for delivering exceptional service to the firm’s clients and associates.

 

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on highly complex operations processes with the aptitude to identify, understand and communicate core operational needs
  • Collaborate with centralized operations team to ensure documents are prepared and accurate before going out to clients
  • Review and manage client reporting to ensure accuracy before performance updates are presented in client meetings
  • Manage alternative investment capital calls, reporting updates, and identifying any issues in the reporting of these investments internally
  • Assist with inputting trades directed to the central trading team as directed by Wealth Advisors. Ensuring that these trades were executed correctly.
  • Meets regularly with Associate Wealth Advisors and Advisors to prioritize workload, provides timely updates on operational items and escalates potential issues when appropriate


Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree required (Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business or Economics preferred)
  • 3 years of relevant experience working within client services and/or operations; preferably with a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA), investment management firm or broker/dealer
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of client service and operational processes
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Commitment to detail with excellent organization, time management and interpersonal skills
  • Self-starter with a proven ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving work environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Office 365, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Salesforce CRM and/or Tamarac AdvisorView preferred
  • Experience with Charles Schwab, Fidelity and/or TD Ameritrade institutional platforms and paperwork preferred
