Head of Commercial Effectiveness

Remote - Metairie, LA

Job Description

Beacon Pointe Advisors is a seeking a qualified candidate to join the Practice Management Team as Head of Commercial Effectiveness. The Head of Commercial Effectiveness will bring greater discipline, consistency, and transparency to how we price and bill for the advice we provide, while helping the firm operate as one cohesive commercial organization as it scales.

Beacon Pointe is a national independent RIA advising on more than $60 billion in assets and entering its next phase of growth. This hands-on operating role combines analytics, process design, and relationship-building, offering a rare opportunity to build a new discipline from the ground up across a national network of offices.

Responsibilities

  • Fee schedule standardization: partner directly with advisors to move client relationships onto Beacon Pointe’s Standard Fee Schedule, providing the analysis, tools, and communication resources for thoughtful, consistent pricing decisions.
  • Fee schedule governance: own and continuously evaluate the Standard Fee Schedule and its exception process, incorporating market benchmarks and the scope and complexity of client relationships.
  • Billing accuracy and completeness: ensure clients are billed consistently and correctly for the assets we manage, identifying managed accounts not yet on a billing schedule and, with operations, aligning billing to the services clients receive.
  • Small household program: oversee onboarding Beacon Pointe’s small-household advisory program, partnering with offices to systematically identify smaller households and transition them to the right service model, freeing advisor capacity for the firm’s most valuable relationships.
  • Commercial integration of new offices: lead the commercial workstream as newly joined offices integrate, helping them adopt Beacon Pointe’s pricing philosophy, fee standards, and billing practices.
  • Operating system and enablement: build and continuously improve a repeatable operating system — workflows, templates, reporting, and technology — that helps offices apply pricing and billing standards consistently and efficiently.
  • Profitability enhancement: pursue additional opportunities that enhance the profitability of the firm and its offices — including household service-cost (cost-to-serve) analysis, minimum-fee and account-minimum policies, and the pricing of ancillary planning and specialty services.
  • Insight and reporting: provide leadership with clear analytics and reporting on pricing consistency, billing accuracy, and progress across the firm, translating data into actionable recommendations.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is exceptionally analytical, structured, and collaborative, able to move seamlessly from a pricing model to a genuine conversation with a senior advisor, and to build alignment and drive adoption through the presence and credibility to engage advisors as a peer and encourage them to act.

 Relevant backgrounds may include:

  • Top-tier management consulting (strategy, commercial excellence, or pricing) or a comparable in-house strategy or commercial-effectiveness role; wealth experience preferred.
  • A track record owning a pricing, fee-alignment, or comparable commercial program, ideally across a distributed field organization.
  • Strong analytical horsepower — comfortable building and interpreting models and turning data into clear, defensible recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive change and adoption across stakeholders who do not report to them; familiarity with wealth management and RIA economics preferred.
