Job Description

We are seeking qualified candidates to join Beacon Pointe as a Senior Financial Planner within our centralized Financial Planning Department. This individual will partner with Wealth Advisors across the firm to develop comprehensive financial plans and advanced planning scenarios for sophisticated individuals and families.

The role will focus on supporting high-net-worth individuals, corporate executives, and business owners with complex planning needs. These may include unique compensation and payout structures, business ownership and transition planning, equity compensation, 10b5-1 plans, and advanced tax and estate planning considerations.

The ideal candidate will have significant financial planning experience, strong technical judgment, and the ability to independently analyze complex client situations. In addition to supporting individual cases, this person will help develop repeatable planning strategies, workflows, and advisor resources tailored to each client segment.

Responsibilities

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing comprehensive financial plans and advanced planning scenarios for high-net-worth clients with complex financial circumstances.
  • Partnering with Wealth Advisors to analyze client needs, identify planning opportunities, and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Modeling complex compensation arrangements, practice ownership changes, business transitions, equity compensation, 10b5-1 plans, and related tax and estate planning strategies.
  • Reviewing client documents, validating financial data, and identifying information needed to complete the planning analysis.
  • Preparing financial planning presentations, client proposals, and supporting materials for Wealth Advisors.
  • Participating in advisor and client meetings when specialized planning expertise is needed.
  • Coordinating with internal and external tax, estate, insurance, business valuation, and other subject-matter experts.
  • Developing repeatable planning strategies, workflows, templates, and educational resources for targeted client segments.
  • Serving as a technical resource for Wealth Advisors and other financial planners.
  • Training advisors and planners on eMoney, complex planning topics, and Beacon Pointe’s approach to financial planning.
  • Participating in Financial Planning Department projects and other firmwide initiatives.

Qualifications

  • CFP® designation required.
  • 7+ years of relevant financial planning experience, including experience with high-net-worth and complex client situations.
  • Four-year college degree. A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field is preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in eMoney required.
  • Experience with tax planning, equity compensation, business-owner planning, estate planning, or other advanced planning areas preferred.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce and Holistiplan preferred.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, including proficiency in Excel.
  • Ability to independently evaluate complex situations and communicate recommendations clearly.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple cases and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
