Job Description

The Associate Wealth Advisor (AWA) supports Senior Wealth Advisors and Wealth Advisors in delivering a best-in-class experience to a select group of high-net-worth clients. The role is client-facing and execution-oriented, focused on strong communication, accurate follow-through, and reliable coordination across planning, investment, and service workflows. This role is based in our Greensboro, NC office.

This position is intentionally designed as a development path to a full Wealth Advisor role, building foundational skills in client relationship management, financial planning, and investment implementation while operating within defined processes and under advisor guidance. 

Responsibilities

  • Providing a best-in-class service experience to a select group of clients, wealth advisors and internal associates. This entails frequent communication with clients and internal associates - both verbally and in writing
  • Serving as liaison to firm professionals and clients services associates in the research, review and execution of sensitive and/or high priority investment related tasks
  • Providing direct support to Advisors in daily aspects of client service, advising, and financial planning
  • Assist with business development efforts
  • Coordinating timely investment process of new client accounts within internal guidelines
  • Responsibility for client data in various internal systems including the firm’s portfolio management database (Tamarac)
  • Developing in depth understanding of portfolio construction and risk management
  • Communicating with separate account managers regarding client service issues
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Additional duties may entail participation in team projects and assisting with initiatives designed to streamline firm policies and procedures.

 Qualifications

  • Four-year college degree (Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business or Economics preferred)
  • Series 65 or equivalent work experience strongly preferred.
  • Coursework completed and ability to sit for CFP® exam is plus.
  • 1 - 3+ years of relevant experience working with high-net worth individuals a plus; preferably with a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA), investment management firm or broker/dealer
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Office 365, etc.)
  • Proficiency in using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, etc. preferred.
