Internal Communications Specialist

Job Description

Beacon Pointe is seeking an Internal Communications Specialist to support the execution of internal and external communications strategies. This role is responsible for content creation, media outreach, employee engagement initiatives, and day-to-day communications operations. The Internal Communications Specialist will work closely with the Practice Management Team and cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging and effective stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Content Development & Messaging
    • Draft and edit internal announcements, press releases, newsletters, and social media posts.
    • Create high-quality content for use across multiple channels including intranet, website, and email.
    • Ensure messaging aligns with company values and strategic goals.
  • Internal Communications
    • Coordinate defined protocols for internal communications procedures through our internal tech stack.
    • Develop coordinated messaging guidelines for communication to different employee channels across local offices and central support teams.
    • Support employee engagement initiatives and culture-building efforts.
    • Coordinate town halls, employee surveys, and feedback loops.
  • External Communications & Media Relations
    • Assist in managing media inquiries and coordinating public statements.
    • Maintain media contact lists and monitor press coverage.
    • Support event planning and external stakeholder communications.
  • Project Support & Collaboration
    • Work with cross-functional teams to support communication needs for projects and initiatives.
    • Maintain communication calendars and ensure timely delivery of content.
    • Assist in crisis communication planning and execution.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a communications role, preferably in financial services.
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms, intranet tools, and email marketing software.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Collaborative mindset and strong interpersonal skills
